July 18, 2007 is Dale's 28th birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DALE
July 28, 2007 is the 10 year anniversary
of his passing from this life to the next.
We miss him just as much today as the day he left.
~TEN YEARS~
Ten years have passed since my child died,
I remained here to mourn and cry.
Before one year passed--I wished to die,
Step out of time into Heaven's side.
But I remained caught in life's rising tide,
Destined to live my remaining time.
At two years my pain was deep and pulled me down,
To a place where I never expected to be found.
I buried myself--not wanting to rise.
I hid in the darkness--sought to sever all ties.
By three years I discovered--I was never alone,
Jesus stayed with me and carried my load.
As the fourth year arrived, my tears still fell,
But within Jesus' arms, I could safely dwell.
When I got tired and faltered, His hand reached out,
To steady my faith and allay all my doubts.
Before five years passed, He had given me a song,
To encourage my heart and help me grow strong.
As six years passed, despair tried to come back,
But Jesus showed me my path and kept me on track.
Year seven rolled by and my sadness remained,
Just under my smile lay my tears and my pain.
I longed for my son's laughter, his touch and his smile,
But I must remain on this earth to walk these last miles.
Year eight walked on and I couldn't catch my breath,
One loved one escaped--but another met death.
But Jesus was here and I fell in His arms,
Where I could rest away from all harm.
Still my broken heart couldn't help but ask "Why",
So I watched and I waited as year nine crept on by,
Time is passing--year ten has arrived,
It is only by Jesus' help that I could have survived.
I felt His tender undying Love,
And He spoke to me gently of Heaven above.
For one child of my heart passed on from this life,
He walked through the Curtain of Time and into the Light.
