~I'M HOME~ The miles are passing slowly by, I am anxious to get home. I think of my friends and family... My Mom and Dad And my brothers.. they mean a lot to me. And...one very special girl, So lovely and so kind Thoughts of her fill my mind. ~ The night is dark and this road is long, I'm riding alone, so, I sing a song. Thoughts of God's Word still surround me, The Pastor spoke of things to be, Of the many wonders we shall see When we reach Heaven so fair. I hum the song, "Oh, won't it be wonderful there?" ~ What's that ahead? Quickly now, I raise my head. A bright, bright, light engulfs me. This light is all that I can see. And...I feel... total Love surrounding me! Where am I? I have no fear... Joyous voices now I hear! ~ In wonder, I look around. Absolute love and peace I've found. Many people greet me now... Hugging my neck and taking my hand... They are welcoming me to the Promised Land. They are all so young and happy to see me... I know them all!  How can this be? ~ I look back from beyond earths' tomorrow... All I love are feeling sorrow. Why?  All God's Word is true And it is His Word that has taken me through! Love and Joy are unsurpassed When you step through the veil at last. All things good, you can savor And live eternal with our Lord and Savior!
