~CHRIST BE WITH YOU~

Most thought it was just an ordinary day,
But life soon changed in an extraordinary way.
As the night began to fall upon the land,
A few were expecting something grand.
They felt the stillness in the evening air,
The kind that makes you totally aware.

Shepherds were watching their flocks,
Guarding the strays from the sharp, jagged rocks.
The animals were restless and milling around,
Yet barely making an audible sound.
Man and beast felt the tingle in the evening air...
Shepherds were breathing prayers.

Out of the darkness came a bright light,
The shepherds knelt down in fear and fright.
But an angel announced with great joy...
The birth of a very special baby boy!
Christ the Lord was born and the world given grace,
Through the greatest gift of God to the human race.

Soon the heavenly host filled the night skies,
Their praises to God would steadly rise.
"Glory to God in the highest," the crescendo begins,
They loudly proclaim "Peace on Earth to all men."
May you hear the joy bells of Heaven ring anew,
God bless you. Christ be with you.
